Parking ARU Cambridge

I start in September and will be driving in. I was wondering is there campus parking for students or will I have to park and pay?
Thanks

Hi @Wating,

My name is Susannah and I'm a final year Psychology with Criminology student at ARU Cambridge. Congratulations on starting with us this September!

I've been commuting to Cambridge my entire time at ARU. I know that there is very limited parking at campus, so it is recommended finding parking elsewhere. There are a few carparks closer to the town centre and one at the train station, but I'm not sure about the parking rates. I personally would recommend using one of the park and rides. With these, you typically only have to pay for your bus ticket.

Which park and ride is best for you depends on where you're coming from, but I know that the one in Trumpington has the A bus which stops quite close to the campus at Parkside (less than a 5 minute walk away). I would recommend researching the park and rides and seeing what works best for you.

I hope this helps and good luck starting your studies in September 🙂

Don't hesitate to reply if you have any more questions.

Thanks so much for replying! This is actually a big help! I’m coming from Maldon/ Chelmsford, don’t think of park n rides. I may end up doing that. Would probably work out a lot cheaper. Thanks again for taking the time.
