Good enough for Cambridge Med?

Predicted A*A*A in Bio, chem and maths
My GCSEs are 9988888877 :/ and ik most applicants have all 9s not to mention all A*s for predicted and I don't want my chance to be screwed because of the one A
How much weighting does the UCAT have because if I get a high enough score will I be invited for interview?

Its 50/50 UCAT and academic so if you aced the UCAT you could maybe get an interview, but definitely have a look at some other medical schools, don't make Cambridge everything. Good luck!

Hi! That's interesting, may I ask what specifically about the course structure is making you decline your offer?

they do all lectures for the first three years I think and then placements. I dont think that would be the best for me personally, I prefer integrated placements and anatomy alongside lectures as it encourages more holistic learning and that's what my med school does.

it's very science based, similar to biomedical sciences for the preclinical years with essay writing. i'd rather go to a university which is 5 years for medicine in which the course is actually interesting and medical, not sciency.

ultimately, medicine is the same everywhere. you don't wanna go somewhere you won't enjoy and end up dropping out.
