I am not but if you don't find anyone, I thought I would share some reassurance:

LIPA do a meet and greet brunch that first weekend and also do a couple of mixers. You will meet LIPA students in your accommodation. You might even have someone in your flat. My daughter is there this year and has friends at Agnes Jones. All the nearby accommodation has LUPA students and the private student accommodation are great at holding social events. Check the website.

Liverpool is a great city to be a student. Best wishes!

Hey!

I'm going to LIPA to study Music (Session Musicianship) for 2025/26 and I'm just looking to book my accommodation, think I'm going to go for Agnes Jones House too.

If you are going to go Agnes Jones House I would book your place/get on the waiting list as soon as possible as I only just got my spot there.

Cool! I was a bit worried there might not many people from LIPA there as I know most go to Cathedral campus. What are you studying by the way?

Hi Wolfsky,

My Names Tilly and I’m a LJMU student who lived in Agnes Jones for the first two years of my degree.

From what I know there are lots of LIPA students in Agnes. My first year flat was a mixed of LIPA and LJMU students. I found my flatmates through the official Agnes Jones Facebook group. Joining that group may be useful as people put their flat numbers in to find their neighbours and flatmates.

Hope this helps and best of luck for September!

Yes you are told soon after you apply. In my case I had to wait a bit longer as I was on the waiting list as all the spots have already gone at Agnes Jones.
Sorry I am not sure what the second part of your post means.

Yep all gone. This is also mostly the case for all other accommodations. The only way to get a place is through the waiting list which does not guarantee anything. It is all quite fingernail biting inducing😰😳

I think I'm going to book through Liverpool student homes instead then, so not through the actual uni. Hopefully it's all legit

Depending what uni you are going to, they may have their own private accommodation which should mean less squabbling over rooms/places. The problem with Agnes Jones, cathedral campus, the arch and others is that they are their own separate thing not linked to any uni. Meaning there are students from different universities which is why is can be so hard to get a place. Thought it would be wealth mentioning.

Try phoning up different accommodations, it may say full but you may just get lucky. Also there may still be places at grand central as no one really wants to go there as it's right next to the station.(If you are desperate maybe tho?)

Good luck finding somewhere. I know it's stressful when you have nothing in place yet

ahh right well that makes sense, I'm going to be studying at Uni of Liverpool and they do say they will guarantee accom for 1st year students but apart from Agnes jones their costs are just too much for me like 160/170 a week is something I doubt I could afford. Grand central looks good though Ill deffo consider that thanks. I've found some pretty cheap accommodation on the website Liverpool students homes but I'm just not sure as to how verified it is because I cant seem to find any reviews of it online.
