Transfering from bcu to brighton worth it?

Hi there,

I'm a first year psychology student, and I applied to transfer to Brighton with a list of other unis such as MMU and Swansea.

Is it worth it to transfer if you hate your institution, midlands was a LIEE it's so boring here after freshers week, and I hate brum theres nothing to do, except eat....
I doubt I'll even get into these uni's requiring a 2.1 because birmingham city university have declined my mitigating circumstances appeal, although, I had enough proof TO APPEAL! This uni is a joke, don't come here even NTU or DMU must be better.

What would be your reasonings to transfer, and i'm leaning towards towards Brighton, is it even worth it there?

Brighton is a brilliant city, but I am from here so probably biased! It depends a little on what you want from a location. What sort of things are you into? There are tons of activities to do here from capoeira to pottery as well as all the outdoors activities like mountain biking and sea swimming... It's worth giving Brighton uni a call to see what your options are, you won't know if you don't ask. Good luck.

@Manip

Hi, obviously in an open forum this isn't the place to discuss your mitigating circumstances, but are they ones that impact the way in which you engage with your learning at the University?

Some providers offer the option of a blended learning or 100% online option for a Psychology degree such as Arden University, where the courses are fully accredited by the British Psychological Society. They have study centres in London and Birmingham which might interest you, and be a more adaptable form of learning. I did the 100% online option for my MSc and had a fantastic time.

If you do get bored in Birmingham, Cadbury World is just a few train stops away *

*other chocolate providers are available
