Bsc in Social and Political science or BA in sociology?

I’m studying at leeds this year and still debating between the two. I want to be a lecturer/professor so the undergraduate i take is super important to me. I’m struggling to decide between the two, my key focus is ease, interest/fun and academic prestige- Thanks in advance.

If your ultimate aim is academic research, the subject of your undergraduate degree won't make much difference. Both degrees will give you equal opportunities providing you do well. It will be a lifetime journey: BA/BSc then MA/MSc/MPhil then PhD. It takes at least 7 years in UK, most likely you need a few years post-doc before an uni would offer you lecturership. It will never be easy so choose the subject you like. Both Social & Political Science and Sociology will give you the opportunities you want. Good luck.
