What subjects work well studying online

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working in a full time role (20 yrs old) and am looking to study online part time particularly with open university. I have a many different interests such as English Literature, languages, social sciences (E.g. Human Geography) & biological science I have previously had offers to study at universities full time however rejected them as I was happy earning a wage and wanted to stay in work, but I always wanted to go to university and get my degree so online will be the best way for me.

I am of course wanting to get a degree with good employment prospects and don't want to get in debt for a degree I otherwise would be fine without. I know that business is good however I took it at college and has it has certainly put me off doing a degree in it, and I also know computing and I.T subjects are good too however I don't want my whole life both in and outside of work to be constantly in front of a computer screen if that makes sense.

I was just wondering what subjects people have done and how its worked out studying them online. I am particularly interested to hear about the people that have studied Science subjects like Biology, chemistry etc with the open university and how it work in regards to practical experiments as I assume they can't been done at home too easily however I could be wrong in that. and would also like to know anyone's thoughts on what degrees are doing well in our current job market (I know that passion and interest are really important, however job prospects are just as important to me personally as well)

Thank you for taking to time to read
