Second degree finance question

Hello,

I know Student Finance will fund an additional degree in a healthcare subject, but I wondered how this works for master's pre-registration courses / social work also? I have a BA Education Studies, an MA Education and soon a PhD in Education, but I would like to go into Occupational Therapy or Social Work. The University of Plymouth offers an MSc Pre-Registration Occupational Therapy and an MA Pre-Registration Social Work. These courses are both full-time and 2 years long. Would I be able to secure a loan for either of these courses or would I need to do the full three year undergraduate in Occupational Therapy or another allied health profession to be funded with a second loan (I know the standard BA in Social Work is not included in the list of second funded degrees). Thank you, let me know if you need any further information.

Hi there. The pre-registration course will not prevent you from receiving funding. These courses are funded through Undergraduate funding. We do not look at your qualification/previous study when applying for funding on these courses we only check that you are not already registered in the field you are applying for so in your case you would be eligible. Thanks, David
