wait was it the gradient function one, what about the finding the region R how much was that, and for the modelling question with profit, etc how much was that

Reply 82

For the modelling with the profit one for part b did u get like £143.14 or something like that

do you know when someone will get the paper and get the answers, also is it possible to get 25/30 in both mech n stats

I have the answers. I cannot share the worked solutions but can give you answers if you want them.

Yes of course it’s possible to get that score in stats and mech but you will need to be confident on every question, little room for error.

Please send

1i) A(-3,0) B(0,7) Asymptote y=3
ii) A(-1,0) B(2,-7) Asymptote y=-3
2a) y=4x+12
b) {y : 2x^2+5x-3 <= y < 4x+12}
3a) 2sqrt(10)
b) 47.6 degrees
4a)
Centre (-5, 2), radius sqrt(28)
b) 2-2sqrt(7)<k<2+2sqrt(7)

It’s a lot to write out so that’s all I’m doing for now because I need sleep. Ask if you want specific answers

i did sin^3x= 4/5 and called 3x y so sin^2y=4/5 so then siny= +/- sqrt (4/5) and then solved for that

3 solutions, easiest way was to divide through by cos^2(3x) and end up with tan(3x)=2 and tan(3x)=-2

Yeah you can do it that way too by using sin^2+cos^2=1. You should still have gotten the same 3 solutions
