Specsavers summer placement

Anyone have any clue as to how competitive the specsavers student summer placements are for second years? Is everyone that applies likely to get a spot? ( UK optometry students)

Hi are you currently studying optometry, how are you finding it? I’m hoping to start this year in an access student would this put me at a disadvantage

I’m about to start optometry in Cardiff this September, should I back out before it’s too late and do physiotherapy?

optometry is the better out of the two by quite a significant amount. There are a bunch of things you can do after you graduate. Things are changing but it’s a great career still
