Best Aqa History GCSE textbooks for learning content from scratch?

As the title says, I'm looking to take the exam as a private candidate and would like to know the best textbook publisher for this objective,

the topics I'd ideally like to take out of interest of the eras are as follows;

AQA Germany 1890-1945
AQA restoration England
AQA world war 1
AQA Power and the people

I am in need of external input as there are so many choices and I do not want to pick up a terrible book that only briefly skims over the syllabus, I've considered the Oxford series and the Hodder series.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi , I take AQA history: America Equality and Opportunity , Inter-war years, Health and the People, Elizabethan. I would definitely recommend the Oxford AQA Textbooks. They are quite thin but have lots and lots of in depth topics and we use them a lot at school. They have help to answer each question and lots of info too. However if you want to be a top candidate you definitely need more than the textbook. We usually get some in depth sheets in class as well, I dont know where they are from but I'm sure you will find some after digging on the internet. The textbooks aren't that great regarding source question examples so maybe u could look on save my exams or bitesize for that. But i would say defo get the oxford series... make sure you don't buy the revision guide as they look very similar. I also have the oxford revision guide but it doesn't look likt the textbook , instead it is a pink and blue oxford revise revision guide and I have 1 for each hidtory topi. Hope this helps!

Thank you!. By ''In depth sheets'' are you referring to practice questions? or a sheet that explains something further?

sorry for the late reply, they are basically just sheets with way more explanation and information about the topic/subject!
