Debating which accommodation to choose for Uni of Liverpool

I'm starting Uni this September at Liverpool and am just wondering what would be the best accommodation to choose. If anyone could give any guidance, it'd be much appreciated!

Firstly, Crown Palace is all booked up, so there's no availability left.

Onto Greenbank, the rooms, facilities and amenities look great, but my concern is the commute to campus (an unreliable bus from what I've read). I'm hearing that most of the events like pres, house parties, etc., happen closer to campus/ the city, in accommodations like Crown Palace, Vine Court, etc., Just wondering if the distance from campus is that annoying, or if people are just exaggerating.

Vine court seems to be a good option as its close to the campus, but the rooms look a bit small and not very comfortable from the pictures on the website. Just wondering if in person the rooms look better/ are more spacious and homely.

For Philharmonic Court, I have the same concern regarding the overall look of the room, and I've also heard that this accommodation is usually quieter and less sociable, which is another negative.

So it's really between Greenbank and Vine court at the moment.

Any help?

Thanks

I spoke to another student in Liverpool and Greenbank is where they stayed in 1st year but you need to commute by bus. So overall the most ideal preference to stick down is
1. Vine
2. Greenbank
3. Anything as a filler, maybe Philharmonic?

Then you can email the accommodation office: [email protected]

And tell them you want to change your preference to
1. Crown
2. Vine
3. Greenbank

They will make that change on their side of the admin system as that’s what I did
At least that way you have some chance of getting into Crown

The commute from Greenbank is a pain and you need to factor in the distance to the city centre if you are keen on socialising. Also look at some of the private halls - they are often cheaper than uni accomm and in great locations. Some are available through Liverpool's accommodation service and others you can apply direct (eg Student Roost's Capital Gate, IQ Students Capital Gate, etc.). You can request flats with other first years.
