Message vacation fling or see I'd he messages?

Went on holiday for a week and met a guy from tinder we spent alot of time together during that week. We got on very well and seemed quite similar and had great chemistry.
It was nothing serious and nothing was discussed. But he did keep mentioning meeting in other countries/ seeing each other again, I was brushing it off until he said he wasn't joking it be cool to meet again. I am all for it. We both said we have no idea what we are looking for so not really sure what it would be we just seemed to have alot of fun together and enjoyed similar things and had similar plans to travel.
I left the country less than 24 hrs ago, he messaged to say have a safe return, I replied thank you so no warrant for a response from that. I haven't heard from him since, I'm not sure how long to give him to message until I say loss cause or if to just message him myself in the next couple days just asking how he has and asking if the weather got better since I left maybe to make some convo (meant to be sunny was not so sunny).
Don't want to seem too eager so is it appropriate to reach out first? I'm not reallt expecting much from anything I've just got out a long term relationship but it be fun to have some casual fun. I feel like I gave more mixed feelings than him as I was skeptical lol.
How long would you wait for him to reach out first?
Even of they don't would you message first and what would you message?
And how many days should i wait to reach out?
The whole holiday I was convinced he'd ghost as we didnt messsge much between meeting but he kept coming back to my suprise. In the dreamland I ofc would see him again but am aware I may be lulu.

Men are not women, we don't care if you seem eager, that's generally a good thing actually. You shouldn't allow yourself to become emotionally attached to somebody in another state though.
