Hi - thought this was a great post just thought i'd pop on to highlight to everyone, it doesn't matter if you've done anything similar to a society pre-university, its a great chance to meet new people and explore things you maybe previously wouldn't, majority of the time especially the first few weeks of terms you are never the only person whos there for the first time, so please don't be discouraged everyone is wellcome!! 🙂

Thank you for pointing that out, Emily! 🙌 Absolutely, you don’t need any experience to join a society. I joined one without knowing anyone or what to expect, and it turned out to be one of the best parts of my uni experience. It’s all about showing up and being open, everyone’s in the same boat at the start! 😊
