Tuition? (Thoughts/Advice/More)

Hey everyone!
I'm really interested in becoming a tutor after my GCSEs and would love to get your thoughts and advice. I enjoy helping others understand subjects like science and maths, and I’ve already started mentoring younger students at school especially in Chemistry. I want to improve my teaching and communication skills, so I’m hoping to hear from anyone who’s tutored before or has thoughts on what makes a great tutor.

What’s the best way to get started, and how can I build experience and confidence? Any tips, stories, or suggestions would be really appreciated!

Also, once I get things going, I’m planning to offer free lessons for a month to anyone who sees or comments on this thread just to build experience and help people out. I’ll be covering Grade 9 level Maths, Triple Science, and Computer Science weekly, and will be including a few friends to help run the sessions too.

It’s a great opportunity for anyone in Year 9–10 looking for some free tutoring! I’ve got a Peer Educator Qualification and experience leading support sessions at school, so I know what I’m doing.

Thanks so much looking forward to hearing from you all!

I was also thinking about doing the same thing. Me and my friends were talking about it, and we all decided that making a website would really help, so more people would get to know about it.
