Trevelyan College
Alright all...
...I just got an offer for Durham from Trevelyan College. Now, I know the limited stuff that they put up on the website, JCR etc. but what are peoples first impressions, good things, bad things etc.
Please say a lot of nice things about it to convince me I made a good decision! Thanks!
ps. I've read some of the old threads on Trevs, but looking for more up to date views.

Trevs is decent. The stuff I've liked about it: all under one roof, landing-system is cool, good facilities, nice bar, reasonably sized. etc. etc.
Good things: the bar has a dancefloor! definitely the social hub of college, everyone congregates there before a night out, fantastic after-formals (providing the DJ is good...)
landing system is great, especially for Freshers, you get to swap round every term to meet new people (though this might be a pain if you don't like moving all your stuff)
It's really friendly and doesn't take itself too seriously - the DUCK hits for charity that happen during mealtimes once a term are an example of this! (e.g. pay for your friends to get waterbombed in public lol)
Your friends will all be really close by because of the way the college is laid out - everyone's under the same roof and once you get used to the mad rabbit-warren and know the shortcuts to places it's great
Bad things: some of the older blocks are a bit shoddy and need refurbishing, though the refurbed blocks are nice
Printer is always breaking down in the computer room (might be an idea to bring your own, unless you want to run down to the Library - just over 5 mins away)
The food gets crap towards the end of term, and you get sick of all the carbs (but there's always loads of choice most of the time)
The laundry machines are always breaking down too...
There's an unwritten rule that you can't pull in the bar or use your phone in the dining room, otherwise you risk getting water thrown over you!
It's a small college so if you aren't a total recluse then most people will know who you are and you will know of most people, which means gossip spreads fast - but I think this just adds to the fun
