Is it okay to learn 1 poem for the power and conflict poetry?

The English Literature paper 2 exam is coming up soon, and I was wondering if its okay for me to only learn Kamikaze in depth including understanding how it can link to all the themes. For all the other poems I intend on of course knowing context but also at least one piece of form/structure and a quote. Is this alright? Or should I add an extra poem or two, if so which ones should I add?

you should learn another poem incase the poem you have learned came up then you wouldn't have a poem to compare it with... 2 poems would be the minimum for GCSE lit

You should definitely learn around 4-6 properly, if the one you learnt comes up as the seen poem you won't be able to write much, im not sure what board you do so maybe our poetry questions are different

Kamikaze did actually come up last year which is the only reason I've decided to go this route. Do you have any reccomendations if I did decide to learn another one?

When you say properly, what does that entail? So far I have 7 quotes as well as form and structure for Kamikaze but I dont know if I'd be able to do that and remember it all for 4 more. Kamikaze also came up last year so I dont expect it should come up again this year

If you just want to learn Kamikaze, then learn at least a few quotes from a poem you’d be able to compare Kamikaze too. Just in case Kamikaze comes up again, it means that you’d be fine.

Thank you so much, I'll do that!
