Is accounting A Level worth it?

When I am older I would like to work as a solicitor - hopefully in an area like financial fraud, or general finance. This in an area of law I am generally very interested in. What I’m wondering is what A Levels should I pick for this? I think I’m going to pick History and Politics. I am generally very interested in the Accounting A level but I’ve heard it’s not a “good enough a level”. I would want to apply to oxbridge so I need some strong a levels.

Should I pick accounting or something else?

Maybe I could do 4 that include History, Politics, Accounting and something else.

Any help would be helpful!

If you have 3 strong A-Levels (e.g. History), you can get away with a relatively "weak" fourth. Definitely check entry requirements now though, any degree where accounting is "relevant" will typically prefer maths or maybe economics, and if you don't want to go into accounting, is there a specific appeal to doing the A-Level?

Well currently my sister is in the process of becoming an accountant and it looks quite interesting. I thought if I were handling money as a solicitor it would help too, but some have said it won’t. Thank you for the reply

An A level is not a professional qualification and it isnt going to have any relevance to a career in Financial Fraud. If you want to study Law at undergrad level, then this A level subject is worth doing if you enjoy it and if you think you can get a good grade, otherwise its really not worth bothering with.

If you do decide that you want to work in this field once you have finished a Law degree, then there are specialist postgrad degrees - one example : LLM Law - Banking and Finance Law | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol

So would History, Politics and Accounting be perfectly fine for russel group and oxbridge?
