Hi @raraa, i'm not sure how much I can help, but it might be a little unlikely that someone else from pendleton college stumbles across this and I didn't want to leave you unanswered! Can you tell me a bit more about what you were told about the course? Does this page (https://pendleton.salfordcc.ac.uk/course/art-design-triple-vocational-a-level/) answer any of your questions, or is it something on this page you wanted to get more clarification on?

Hi @raraa,

Thank you for your message and patience. I studied the UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art and Design at a different college and couldn't recommend it more. This was a few years back now since I did it, as I did an UAL art foundation course and then did four years at uni but here's what I can remember.

To start with you explore a variety of art and design routes from fashion design to fine art. Other topics I explored were photography, graphic design and moving image. It's really great as you are able to find your own style and what route interests you. You get great transferable skills, work on critical thinking and problem solving as well as finding your own creative voice/style.

I think it's a great course for creatives not sure on what their speciality is or creatives who enjoy being creative in many different ways. I definitely got many transferable skills which led me to studying Fashion Promotion and Marketing here at the University of Central Lancashire. During the end of each year, you get to have more creative freedom and focus on what specialty interests you and develop your style.
