gotten ill during gcses - what should i do????

i woke up yesterday with a sore throat, amd now its saturday and i have an ear splitting headache and i can barely walk, eat or just genetrally function. i have my gsces literally for the rest of the week though, jampacked with almost 2 exams everyday. even the THOUGHT of revising makes me feel ill though. does anyone hvae any tips on anything i can do??? whether that be quick recovery, or to helpme maximize my revision while im like this?
*to clarify , its not just the headache, its coupled with a lot of other things like lightheadedness and fatigue that just generally make it hard for me to exist LOL. not ogonna start listing all the symptoms, but im sure u guys know the feeling

prioritise resting over anything honestly because if your sick intense revision isn't even going to help you and is gonna make you sick further or isn't going to be efficient revision.
i would suggest do stuff that doesn't require excessive effort such as lying in bed watching a revision video.

It's important to get it on record, are you able to go to a walk in centre? if you don't make it to any of your exams or get ill during one the first thing that will be asked for is evidence, It doesn't sound like you'll be anywhere near well enough on Monday, if you can't make it you MUST inform your school ASAP and get to your GP on Monday and if you do make it and get ill during the exam make sure the invigilator notes everything down. If you have evidence there is a good chance you will be able to resit at a later date. Good luck, hope you feel better soon

Hi @meowmeowkat

I'm sorry to hear you do not feel well!

Firstly, do not waste your energy feeling worried/ guilty about being unable to revises or sit exams. If you are too ill to sit an exam, you should inform your school and get a letter from the GP, as other comments have stated evidence is important.

If your determined to sit exams, make sure you do not make yourself worse with revision. Take your time, give yourself breaks and maybe opt for audio revision, like YouTube videos. This way you can rest as much as your body needs and take care of yourself. I wouldn't worry about trying to do past papers, just go over the stuff you already have prepared, read and listen rather than doing questions.

I hope you feel better soon, please feel free to ask me any questions,
-Sophia (University of Central Lancashire)

If you have sufficient evidence from your GP/hospital then no but without this it’s possible
