Offer from strathclyde

I applied for undergraduate year 1 biomedical science. I later received a confusing offer from the university. They said that I have an offer for year 2 even though I did not apply for it and for the additional information they said that I also hold a year 1 unconditional offer. Does this mean that if I don't reach the requirements for year 2 would I automatically be accepted for year 1? Or would I have to call the university to ask them to only give me the year 1 offer
