Changing degree after a foundation year

So yeah im currently doing a foundation year in biology.
I originally wanted to switch to biochemistry/biomed after my foundation year but now I'm thinking of trying to change to psychology but I'm not sure if thats a possibility.
I did a foundation year as my a level grades were not up to my standards and I thought that I wanted to pursue biochemistry. Now I'm not very sure so if you have any advice please let me know! I have been averaging firsts and 2:1s the whole year.

Has anyone changed to a completely different course after finishing their foundation year?
Is it too late??

Hi there,

It might be a possibility if you are staying at the same University but want to switch courses.

I would get in touch with the head of Psychology or the head of your foundation programme at your Uni and just ask - it may be the case that what you covered in the foundation year for biology would be enough background knowledge and lab/research/writing skills as what you would need for psychology.

Hope this helps!

thank you for your response. I also did do psychology a level! my biology foundation year had topics such as the nervous system, the brain and stuff like that and also a lot of statistical testing and rstudio coding work (which I see are both part of psychology!)

thank you!
