A Level Edexcel English Literature & Language Combined - 21st May 2025 (Exam Chat)

How is everyone feeling about this paper? I always feel like this course is so difficult to find resources and such on. Please discuss or ask questions about the exam, hope it helps someone. Good Luck in the exam this week :smile:

Hi, is your exam on the 28th? I thought it was the 21st of may then the 4th of june.

It happens dw :smile:

For anthology I feel okay as it’s usually quite straightforward. However for streetcar i feel like no matter how much context or quotes i know if they throw a really niche question i may struggle with timing :frown:

About streetcar I completely agree Im nervous, but ive got psych exam in the morning so more of my revision is going to that but Im just hoping its a good question. What texts are you doing for paper 2?

oooo good luck in history! is it modern? We do TGG and A Raisin in the Sun, i think Othello would be good for comparison to be fair (the little i know about it)

I do Tudors and Russia so not modern sadly 😓 A raisin in the sun sounds interesting i bet there’s a lot of contextual similarities. What are some major themes of yours that align for both?

to be fair there isn't much as it mainly focuses on race but there are comparable characters and social mobility/ lack of social mobility. Do you like TGG?
