law clearing

I'm predicted AAA and need AAB to get into my top choice uni for law (Exeter), and my backup requires the same - However, due to unforeseen circumstances much of my time has been occupied with personal matters (stemming from bereavement), and its unlikely I will get the grades I need. Also, I'm unsure the 1grade less rule will apply, as Exeter's original offer was AAA but they reduced it as I made it my firm choice. I've been looking around at some other potential options as I would prefer to go to uni this year than next.
Does anyone know any Russell group unis that do allow lower grade students into law courses - along with this, do law with foundation courses accept clearing students?
thanks

I'm not in Y13, but you can surely email them explaining, especially if you already have an offer. Bereavement is no joke, and everyone grieves differently.

Exeter will need a specific form completed that explains how this has impacted your studies - "If you experience issues after you have applied and received an offer, please still complete the form so this can be taken into consideration during confirmation when you receive your results."

It needs to be submitted ASAP. See - Extenuating circumstances | Undergraduate Study | University of Exeter

Check also with your Insurance Uni - if you can't find anything relevant on their website, just phone their Admissions Team and ask. They may also want a form complotted or they may accept an email from your school.
