Hi I'm an Arabic teacher

There is no need for direct quotes in writing the essay for the film/literary text. Relaying the evidence using your own words is sufficient
Direct quotes do not gain you more marks. How you use the information is what matters.

it was HELLL. I waffled so much. Chose the question abt abdullah for Wajda and الفرق بين الغرب for عصفور من الشرق

Tbf overall the paper wasnt bad imo the translation on paper 1 was harder(i was praying for politicts to not come up for the translation AND IT COMES TWICE)
