English Lit 2025 Paper 2 Predictions

What are everyone’s predictions for Paper 2? I do Lord of the Flies and Power & Conflict poetry. I’ve seen that for poetry it’s most likely going to be nature or identity, since they either haven’t come up or haven’t for a while. For the people who aren’t sure, these are the poems that have come up since 2017:

• Bayonet Charge (2017)
• Ozymandias (2018)
• War Photographer (2019)
• Remains (2020)
• London (2021)
• Bayonet Charge (2022)
• My Last Duchess (2023)
• Kamikaze (2024)

Tissue won’t come on, since it’s too difficult to understand and the exam has to be accessible for all abilities.

My prediction will be The Prelude, Exposure or Charge of the Light Brigade.

Could be a repetition, so Remains again. If tissue was that difficult they wouldn’t put it on the spec tho. I think tissue’s a good one to learn whether it’s on the paper or not bcs the examiner’s know it’s a bit harder to analyse. But I predict Exposure.

My teacher told me that Tissue is there to compare if you’d like to. You never know, it could still be on. I just meant that it’s highly unlikely, but there’s always a chance

You’re going to be okay! It’s never too late to start revising. My teacher predicts The Emigree, and another predicts Exposure. I would recommend revising maybe 5-6 poems in depth that you can 100% compare with most things - for example Exposure is a nature poem, a war poem and an effects on individuals poem, which means it is a good poem for multiple themes.

Apparently the main five to learn in detail is Remains, London, kamikaze, bayonet charge and my last duchess

don’t even ask me how I got that… what did everyone compare exposure to, I compared it to poppies bcs that’s the only other one I studied hah

I compared exposure to remains and talked about their isn't conflict between enemies but conflict between man and nature in exposure . Then I talked about how the conflict in remains is more internalised conflict than conflict between enemies. Can't remember my other 🤣
