UU rejected based on interview

I’ve been rejected for nursing based on my interview. They do not offer feedback. I am not sure what to do in September. Or how do I go about applying for February intake. Any advice would be appreciated. Anyone else going through this??

Sorry you weren't successful but don't give up on being a nurse as sometimes it can take a few attempts to get a offer 🫴 🫴 okay.

Reapply for the next available course start date and see what happens next. You probably have to improve your research about the sort of questions you were asked at your university interview and take it into any future interviews. You have to have a good internet ( although some people get accepted even if they make a mess of the interview which isn't fair on someone who did a good interview say but it's how much information you put over with your answers).

Have you thought 🤔 🤔 about applying for a HCA job position and gain some vital nursing skills until you get a offer of a place at university to do nursing.

Registered adult nurse ( not in Ireland).

you can also try again through clearing, i’m pretty sure you still go through an interview but it may not be as rigorous.

Hi @tlavery539 sorry to hear you were unsuccessful. Do not give up with following your career of wanting to become a qualified nurse.

I want to become a qualified midwife within the next five years. I was unsuccessful with the direct route of Midwifery degree bs hons, however I know I have the potential to become a great midwife. So I got given an alternative conditional offer to do adult nursing at my first choice of university and my second choice is a back up. But I am determined to become a midwife therefore I plan to do the three year nursing degree and try to get a work placement on the maternity ward as a nurse to shadow and work with midwives, other nurses and work as part of a MDT. To gain experience and then do the shortened 18 month Midwifery degree or an apprenticeship with the university. So please to not give up. Put your application in to clearing and I agree with @Littleemma98 just do some further online research about what it really is to be an adult nurse and follow the NMC updates because there's a new nursing code due in 2027 for all qualified or future student nurses and midwives to follow. So stay in the know is my advice. I wish you the best of luck in the future.
