If you enjoyed the hunger games and if you enjoy fantasy then I think you'll love the sunbearer trials! Basically the hunger games with a latin mythology!

For murder mystery then definitely the 'One of us is lying' books are a great way to go!

Thanks for the recs, I’ll definitely check them out!

For nonfiction, definitely check out Bad Science by Ben Goldacre! It's about how scientific trials/medical trials can be warped to fit a certain narrative and how to avoid falling for that kind of thing.

For murder mystery:
The Village- Lisa Rookes
Streets of Darkness - AA Dhand
Also JK Rowling's Cormoran Strike books (written under the name Robert Galbraith)

A couple of non fiction books which are worth reading & overlap with themes of psychology;

Free Your Mind: The New World of Manipulation & How to Resist it- Laura Dodsworth & Patrick Fagan
Lost Knowledge of the Imagination - Gary Lachman
The Case Against Reality- Donald Hoffman

for mystery i would recommend A good girls guide to murder by holly jackson the series wasn’t that great but the book was amazing. Also the reappearance of rachel price by holly jackson was so so good! Also the inheritance games by jennifer lynn barnes. i’m currently reading the second one in the series and so far so good. Plus, it has a romantic subplot. (These are all YA books btw)

Hi, for mystery I would really recommend
. This Book Kills by Ravena Guron (so good that I finished it in the same day of buying)
. A Good Girls Guide to Murder
. The Inheritance Games (would recommend for book 1 and 2)
. Truly Devious (would recommend the whole trilogy, it’s quite a long mystery but well worth it)

And on the non-fiction side I would recommend The Body by Bill Bryson

For similar to hunger games (i'm going dystopian with these recs)

The Powerless series - Lauren Roberts

Percy Jckson if you haven't already

Magnus Chase series - Rick Riordan

Legend Series - Marie Lu

For murder mysteries

The Perfect Wife - J.P Delaney

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - Stuart Turton

And also generally just books by Lisa Stone
