How lenient is UCL with offers?

I have an offer from UCL to study economics and they want A* A A, which includes A* in maths and A in further maths and economics. After two subpar econ papers I think it’s looking like a B in economics. Would UCL still give me a place if I get A* in maths AND further maths as I’d be going down a grade in one subject but up one grade in another? Not sure if all unis work like this but my insurance also wants A* A A but has also given me the offer A* A* B as they’re equivalents. I’m worried that because I’m doing an economics course missing the grade in economics alevel would be looked down on.

Well unis don't really work like that (one grade up vs one grade down), but it is somewhat common if you miss your offer by 1 grade they accept you anyway (they arent ringing people up last minute and also it means their logistics arent messed up). However for UCL, and especially for econ (if u got a B asw) it might be tricky as thats the core subject in that course. I wouldn't get your hopes up but there is a chance it happens and it has definitely happened in the past. Good luck!
