Choosing what to do

I am currently doing my alevels but I don’t want to go to uni. I can’t find apprenticeships because I’m late to the deadlines and I applied for uni just in case but I dont want to go. What are my options for next year if I don’t go to uni or find an apprenticeship

You could take a year out to work and get experience to add to your cv before applying for an apprenticeship next year.

Hi @Siennab123,

How come you don't want to got university if you don't mind me asking? University isn't for everyone, many people thrive doing apprenticeships whereas others prefer the university structure. I think having a look at degree apprenticeships may be useful to you. We do have a handy page with more info about degree apprenticeships, questions to see if it's the right thing for you and more. You can access the page here.

As mentioned already, I think taking a gap year to get more experience, find out what exactly you want to do but also make sure to get some time in to relax and recharge. We do offer apprenticeships too which you can take a look at here.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask any further questions 🙂
Best wishes, ^Zac
