MPharm Exceptions Course for SFE??

Is MPharm an exceptions course through SFE for full-time additional funding or 2nd degree funding?

I currently do not hold a degree but have studied before at university (and changing course) leaving with a DipHE which means I have exhausted all my tuition fee funding with SFE.

I am looking at potentially starting an MPharm degree at my local university but am unsure whether I would receive full funding for this course under the "allied to medicine" exceptions?

Does MPharm receive secondary degree full funding or is it classed as any other degree where you have to "take off years of previous study" which would mean I have no funding for tuition fees.

Also is funding provided through SFE or NHS?

Hi Ally,

I have enclosed a list of our exception courses below confirming the courses at part time and full time that are eligible for funding without previous qualifications or years being counted.

Thank you for this. Doesn't look like I'll be able to do it 😔 but at least I know.

Thank you.

Hi

Sorry another quick question. If I was to still apply and self fund my tuition fees as I know I won't be covered for those do I still get maintenance loan as long as I don't yet have a degree?

Hi there. As long as you do not hold a qualification that is equal to or a higher level than the course you are now looking to study then you would still be eligible for Maintenance Loan, Grants and Disabled Student Allowance but the Tuition Fee would remain blocked. If you hold the same level of qualification then you are ineligible for any funding. Thanks, David
