Ucl / kcl clearing and switching courses

I was rejected from LSE (geo with econ) and Cambridge (FY) and KCL was my 3rd choice. I want to switch course to political economy which i meet contextual for and wanted to know if switching courses is possible. Also i want to try get into UCL history Politics Econ in clearing and wanted to know how realistic that is.
I want to crack into finance and want some advice/suggestions on what to do in this situation. Worse case I do a postgrad in LSE or Oxbridge

That's a shame. You should ask KCL now. And then again at clearing if they can't make a decision at the moment.

Ask now. You have far more chance of getting a switch now than after Results Day when numbers have been finalised. Just make certain that is really is what you want to do before you ask.

Just that you have changed you mind about the course you want to do, and is it possible to switch your offer to ..... (subject/UCAS course code). You dont have to provide an elaborate explanation - if the Uni wants any other info, they'll ask for it.
