hi! i’m currently in year 12 (16) and working at a national trust property in the cafe. i must’ve applied for over 200 jobs before i landed this one in january though, as the job market is so bad for young people!!! i really suggest going on indeed and applying to a few per day. but if you see any national trust cafe vacancies def apply for them, you don’t even need to send a cv in as it’s literally just a personality quiz then an easy interview! they also pay all employees the same, so im currently getting minimum wage for 21 year olds. local chippies are also a good starting point

forgot to mention that as long as you’re 16 and have left year 11 you should be able to apply for most jobs- if you’re still in year 11 you’re not classed as over the school leaving age so they legally can’t hire you. and if they require a cv they’ll usually expect your gcse grades to be on them, so waiting until after you get results might be a good idea

Unfortunately there's places that will take on young people from the age of 15.

Boots chemist takes on young people from the age of 15 upwards but due to being under 18 they will be restricted to working on certain areas ( mainly in very large stores) . Therefore the OP can actually apply for a job in boots or perhaps local independent shops who looking for someone.

I actually started myself in boots at 15 and still there many years later.

Hi
Try applying for boots chemist Via there own website and see what is available in all of your local area stores..... You do a online profile account first, then search and apply for a job and then await outcome of this, if successful you'll be asked to do a online assessment ( very easy to do as all the questions are based on realife situations and you just tick and continue until complete) if successful with that you will be invited to book a interview slot via your online account okay or they might phone you.

Good luck 🤞 🤞

From age 16, you can get a job at most shops, supermarkets, fast food places, cafes, restaurants, local attractions, touristy type places etc.
I know mcdonalds takes on a lot of students.
