Ohh that's definitely okay and a pretty normal feeling. At least you've got your own room...
Is your mum's boyfriend an okay guy? Maybe if you get to know him better you'll feel more comfortable leaving your room more and then you won't feel so cooped up. But if you don't feel comfortable around him it might be worth trying to figure out why, and talking to your mum about it.
