I completed the written test 20th of May. I haven’t heard back, keeps saying my application is under review. It’s over a month now.
I read online that HO application review takes longer to get a respond.

Hi, congratulations on getting to the interview part. Still awaiting on my written test results.
Do you mind sharing how your interview went? What were the questions and how many were there?

Thank you!

My jobs portal has changed to ‘assessment results review’ and before it said thanks for doing the interview so maybe we will hear back this coming week.

Hi, anyone heard back?

That’s a great idea it’s always helpful to connect with others going through the same recruitment process. The Asylum Decision Maker role is quite competitive, and the online tests are usually designed to assess analytical thinking, written communication, and judgment skills. While you wait for results, it might be useful to review the Civil Service Success Profiles, especially the “Behaviours” and “Strengths” sections, as they’re often used in the next stages. Best of luck with your application hopefully you’ll hear back soon!

Wow, I must be lucky then, I got a straight offer from interview and I only scored 22. 3,3,3 in strengths and 5,4,4 in behaviours.

Have you started PEC's yet? I already hold CTC clearance as I am in the Home Office via recruitment agency, so I'm really hoping this can take out the CTC clearance and I just need to do the baseline checks.

On the PEC's form, does it ask you if you already hold CTC clearance or any clearance at all? I'm still on RTW stage since Friday, so not been sent pre-employment form yet.

I think I got 28 overall. Yeah started the Pecs but not heard anything since. Theirs is a section that asks for current clearances. I hold SC clearance but that expires in 2028 so dunno if they will just do a fresh CTC one. I’m hoping it’s not another 4 months before finding out the start date haha.

Thank you! I've submitted my onboarding forms on Monday. How many days from submitting your onboarding forms did it take for you to get an email to say they've actually initiated? 🙂 or does your status still say onboarding form submitted.

Keep us updated. It is frustrating though, I applied for this role in May, progressed to written test in September, progressed to interview end of October.

Hi guys, I got offered the role 24/10. I submitted my on boarding information. Got an email on the 5/11 saying my PEC are starting and in progress and then on 6/11 I got an email saying my application is being withdrawn. Didn’t give me any reason. Any ideas why this has happened?

Hey, did you ring SSCL to find out the reason? What did the email actually say?

Has anyone who applied for this position in may 2025 started or got a start date yet? I’m still waiting on vetting. Can’t believe how long the recruitment process is.

My checks started Thursday and I had an email the same day Thursday afternoon to say my initial pre-employment checks have been completed. Have you had this yet?
