Wait until you know some people on your course or flat.
Official tickets aren’t released yet only the dodgy fatsoma events pushed by fake freshers. Those never sell out so wait until you know some people and can choose what to go to with other people. The fatsoma events don’t do refunds no matter what they say (so there’s always people trying to resell their tickets too).

Don’t buy any tickets from sites claiming to be freshers events because they are generally scams.

I went to AUB last year and the freshers events were few and far between - Bournemouth Uni next door have more and you can join them. If you are going into accommodation early, don’t be fooled into thinking there will be lots of events before freshers starts, it’s dead and you have to find your own things to do.

I left after the first term.
Good luck though, it’s a great uni, just not for me.

That makes sense. You also get the best kitchen cupboards - there is definitely not enough for everyone in campus halls!
