clearing HELP - do i have a chance??

Hi
So right now I'm finishing my foundation year at cardiff (its the engineering with a foundation year). And Ive applied and recieved an offer from manchester for mechatronic engineering but now want to switch to chemical engineering. They told me they cannot offer me a place on chemical engineering because of my foundation year structure and content and that it doesn't cover enough physics and chemistry. But firstly, the FY at cardiff is literally all physics based so that doesnt make sense. and their normal offer is a level in physics OR chem. Also i did not do a levels since i did my last year and a half of school abroad so i studied the british curriculum of a level chemistry and physics but did not take the actual exam and that shows on my transcript (A's in all subjects).
Also with the Uni of leeds, i got an offer for mechatronic engineering and asked to switch to chemical eng and they did it straight away!
So im asking if i wait until i have my foundation year results in july/august im planning to ask manchester again for a place on chem engineering in clearing. is there a point or????
If they’ve looked at your foundation and decided it isn’t suitable for entry to chemeng then there’s no point in pestering them about it in clearing.

Go to Leeds. You’ll have a fabulous time there.

As above, they have made their decision on academic grounds and just because you don't like that decision doesnt mean a) thats its wrong or b) that they are going to change their minds later.

This isnt about the grades - which can sometimes drop for hard-to-fill courses at Clearing - it about your previous Foundation course and that still wont have the right content. They have already rejected you and they are not going to change their minds about that.

Hello, How did you manage to transfer? Did you create your own UCAS account ? I am also doing foundation course in other institutions and I would like to transfer as well.

You would apply via UCAS.

As above, foundation years aren’t designed to be readily transferred, so you need to check with the unis beforehand.
