How do I log my Scouting DofE on my UCAS Application

I completed my DofE award via Scouting, but UCAS needs a place of education to add qualifications. Is there a wayu I can add this?

You don't

It isn't a formal qualification and won't be influential in terms of getting an offer.

You can talk about it in your PS if any experiences were particularly relevant to the course you're applying for?
As above, it's not an academic qualification so isn't best entered into that section.

You can mention it in passing in your personal statement - however it won't be relevant to the majority of uni selection processes.

Far better to have your ref mention it in the reference, they have more space for unrelated extra-curiculars, whereas your space is about your suitability and motivation for the academic subject you're applying to.

Hi @Kanolaure,
I would recommend speaking about your scouting and DofE experiences as part of your personal statement. Also, if you want to continue scouting at university, SSAGO (Student Scout and Guide Organization) is a great society to join, with many universities having SSAGO clubs.

Unless someone is applying for a degree in scouting then it’s unlikely that the dofe would be relevant enough to waste space on in a ps
