Try asking in the UEA forum as well as this one.

Hi @carterw156

I love the night life at Norwich, it is a lot less intense compared to other cities. At UEA we have our venue called the LCR (lower common room), it holds live music and our club nights. We have sports night, where our clubs can dress up depending on the theme that week. We also have our weekly Saturday night club, called A- List which plays your typical club songs.

We do also do some themed nights as well, such as ‘Back to School Anthems’, ‘Horrible Histories,’ and ‘Emo Vs Indie night.’ These are always so much fun and the venue has great set designs too. If not you can always pop into the city centre and visit a few of the pubs on the way. There are some great ones down Unthank Road like Pear Tree or Hop Rocket (this is on the 25 bus route to the city too). Otherwise our local clubs are Loft, which is an LGBTQ + friendly and is the typical club for a Thursday night. There is also Mantra, Pop World, Bar and Beyond ect… lots of these will hold themed nights too.

Bar and Beyond did an excellent Gregs sausage roll night and Pop world will usually have guest appearances like Joey Essex or Bradley from S club 7.

The other student friendly club linked to UEA is Waterfront, which is another great venue for live music - https://waterfrontnorwich.webflow.io. This is a great place if you’re looking for a part time job too, or interested in seeing **** N’ Dom’s DJ set! The last place I would recommend is Gonzos Tea room- https://www.gonzostearoom.com, which is a great cocktail bar, music venue and club night. They also do great pizzas too!

If none of these are your vibe, UEA also offers more causal and non-alcohol events too. We have crazy golf, cinema nights, and games nights. These will be available to book through our SU - https://www.ueasu.org.

Hope that helps!

Hi @caterw156

There is great night life in Norwich!

Firstly, we have the LCR on campus which does many gigs and cool events, such as concerts. There are also themed events, such as "Go Global". I have been to this and it is where many people come together from across the university and there are world themed events including food and performances. There also many societies you can join at the university, which often have weekly events.

In addition to this, Norwich has great night life. There is a really nice cinema, called cinema city, aswell as this many other nightlife areas such as riverside, which has bowling and a trampoline park. These are just a few examples but there are many more and plenty of areas to explore.

I hope this helps.
