Any information on MPhil in Sociology at Cambridge?
Hi all, I have an offer to carry out a MPhil in Sociology at Cambridge, and I know this is a bit of a silly post (considering I plan to enter in Autumn…) what ACTUALLY is the course structure? I looked at past webinars uploaded by the department on YouTube, have searched old .pdfs but, to be honest, I still don’t understand the structure.
It’s 70% dissertation assessed and 30% field review assessed. Ok. Fine. But, what else? Apparently we are allowed and encouraged to attend Year 3 UG lectures or module teachings that might interest us, and we should make our own timetable (I’m guessing we will receive login details closer to the time?).
If anyone can enlighten me on actual MPhil related teaching that’d be great (: Just excited and curious! 🧐
