Student loan and UC

Can someone clarify whether universal credit are supposed to disregard a portion of maintenance loan. I'm really confused because it says on the bottom of the student finance award letter, that the dwp aren't supposed to take x amount into consideration when working out UC entitlement. But UC are telling me different. I rang student finance again and as far as they're concerned UC should be disregarding that figure.

Sorry for the confusion with the multiple posts. Does it say on all award notices for the dwp to disregard a certain figure or is it personalised?
Also, are the special support element and special support loan two different things?
Im a lone parent in receipt of disability living allowance for my daughter, so when they assessed my circumstances I wasn't sure whether any special support element would be applied. Although it does specify this as breakdown on my award
