Nottingham Trent accommodation

I‘m currently struggling to choose accommodation for next year as I‘ve heard mixed things about choosing private vs regular uni halls- apparently regular is more social but why is it soo expensive compared to private??Hampden has such small rooms and shared bathrooms but is considerably more expensive than other central private halls 🧐
