Messenger long distance friends

Do any of you have many/any friends on any messenger service that are not from your area? Do you struggle to leave these relationships? Do you feel any obligation to them as friends? I got into one I find a bit committing, she says because we're both Christians we have to help each other. She has wanted a relationship too but I don't want one.

honestly i have lots of these friends, but for the ones that i dont want to be friends with anymore i usually slowly start to talk to them less and less overtime and be more closed off when talking

Just tell them straight up if you don't want a relationship. It is harsh but honesty is the best policy and it'll give them closure. If u really aren't a confrontational person, then u probably better on just doing what danniewithane said and slowly talk to them less
