How bad are NCFE’s?

I’m currently studying a level 3 NCFE for public uniformed services, but I’m highly worried that it won’t count for much as I can’t seem to find much information about their value. Changing is not an option as I did a year in a subject I did not care for and will be turning 18 soon.
Very worried and I feel like I’ve lost my chance to go to uni.

What would you like to study at uni? Do you have any particular target unis in mind?

Also, do you know the full name of the qualification? For example:

NCFE Level 3 Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services
NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services
NCFE Level 3 Introductory Certificate for Entry to the Uniformed Services
NCFE Level 3 Certificate for Entry to the Uniformed Services

Extended diploma, and I’m thinking of doing something relating to criminology or maybe animals

Great. When it comes to entry requirements, universities generally fall into two groups: those which specify their requirements in terms of specific grades in specific qualifications, and those which accept UCAS points without any particular regard for the qualifications via which those points are earned.

A NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma for Entry to Uniformed Services earns UCAS points, depending on the grade you achieve. A P gets you 48 points, an M gets you 96 points, a D gets you 144 points and a D* gets you 168 points. (You can look-up the points for any grade of any qualification via this UCAS tool.)

So focus your search on universities which specify their entry requirements in terms of UCAS points. This won't be any of the "top" universities, unfortunately, as they all want specific grades in specific qualifications.

Note that sometimes a university which accepts UCAS points will be fussy about the qualifications via which those points are earned. That's why I asked if you have any particular target unis in mind. Do you?

Honestly I can’t say I have any specifically wanted ones, I think just knowing I can get into uni with this qualification at the grade standard I’m getting is alright. I need to have a deeper look soon.

Thank you by friend, have a great day.
