parents wanting to move away once i leave for uni

i dont know if im being silly here but i feel pretty mugged off

my parents are divorced (for like 6yrs), and my mum is saying that she wants to move to a 2 bed flat closer to the college my 16yo brother is going to. i told her that university is only 39 weeks out of the year and she could just stay in our 3 bed house (which has cheap rent) and my brother can catch the bus... she just kind of shrugged.

i get that she wants to save money and be a bit closer to my brothers school but im not spending the entire year at uni so i dont see why she feels the need to do this, especially only getting a two bed.

the other end is my dad wants to move to dubai for tax reasons in a year or twos time and says he will just have me fly out to him? im doing a 4 year course (pharmacy) so worst case scenario ill either be halfway across the world away from my friends and mum, or in england in a flat with nowhere for me to really sleep, and effectively ill have nowhere to keep my things.

i get that its 13 weeks at home but when you think about the long summer break and being home for christmas etc its a bit peak
and wildy inconvenient for me. considering my parents say they will be really miserable when i leave, im a bit confused as to why they want to do this, im still their daughter

some context is my parents left their home country when they were 19 and 22

or is this quite normal and i need to grow up.. lol

They are probably working on the basis that once you go to university you will enjoy yourself so much that you won't want to go back to living with your parents.

It's kind of normal tbh,

Esp as your parents have divorced they might have just agreed to keep everything as stable as possible until kids are out of school or at uni etc and now they want to do their own things, your mum might simply want to move for her own sake. (When you say 'our' 3 bedroom house, whos actually is it? do your mum and dad still both live there?)

Eventually it does become a big ask for any parent/s to be expected to always maintain 1-2 spare rooms for the sake of a few weeks here or there, it all costs and the present cost of living/heating etc is huge.
