Teacher attachment

I’ve never told anybody this but I neeed to know if it’s normal. And if not what I can do about it. My whole life i’ve been struggling with female teacher attachment. It always happens when they give me the slightest bit of attention. I don’t have a bad relationship with my parents, yet I feel this way. Now the school year is ending and she won’t be teaching me again. It’s actually so bad that I miss her on the weekends and I search for her in the hallways. I hate this feeling and I want to get rid of it. Exams are coming up and I can’t seem to focus just because of her. What can I do? Should I tell someone?

Hi,

I know this probably isn’t helpful but I experienced the same thing with a teacher in high school - same sex so no attraction. I found it so hard when I left not having her there and almost a year on I still do miss her but it’s got a lot better.

Maybe tell a different teacher in school because it’s not good if it is taking your focus. Could you also ask for one break a week maybe with this teacher then you know you see them then?
