Unable to apply online.. because I'm a teacher?

I've been trying to complete an online application for student finance for GEM Medicine and it says that as I am a teacher with QTS I cannot apply online and therefore need to print out and fill in and send a 58 page document instead.

But why? I'm not applying for a ITT qualification, and surely being a teacher doesn't mean that I can't access the same funding as anyone else on a GEM course?

I have:
QTS (2013) - via graduate teacher programme (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graduate_Teacher_Programme), which was a schools based initial teacher training programme and therefore did not involve student finance in any way
MA (2012) - self funded
BA (2011) - funded by SFE

Hi there, sometimes if a student has a degree (or multiple) the system doesn't allow them to apply online and automatically requests they apply via paper form, as there already is an application at that level online. We will then data enter this once you send it via post to us. Currently this is taking an estimated 10 working days to process once it's received. Thanks, Jason

Thanks for your reply. It seems bizarre that simply having a teaching qualification (no matter how it was earned) is enough to bump someone into paper form purgatory, but it is what it is.
