Can you apply to universities such as LSE for economics if you retake maths?

I've just completed my AS exams in maths and further maths, but I’m scared I’ll only get a B in each exam since I kept running out of time on my papers. This means I’ll only be predicted an A in them, which isn't enough to study economics at universities such as LSE, Warwick, and UCL, which I wanted to apply to. I'm also afraid of not getting a good enough score in the TUMA or AEA and was considering retaking Year 12 to increase my predicted grades and have more time to prepare for the extra exams. However, I'm unsure if doing so will affect my chance of applying to Russell Group universities, as some don't like resits. What should I do? I could maybe try to convince my teachers to give me a test at the beginning of Year 13 to raise my predicted grade, but I don't know if I can.
