'The Student Room' as an entity or the admin/moderators don't tend to take a very active part in discussions if at all.
For replies to most questions you're relying on the community in general to answer them, with some exceptions such as contacting the staff about account issues or sections for asking specific student finance queries.

It's as if everyone is still waiting for other's responses without themselves reacting to other's posts

What do you expect though, its like reddit there isn’t some like inherent rule that every post must be replied to
