Tuition loan HELP

I went to university to study midwifery back in 2019, after 2 years I ended up leaving the course due to health problems.

Now I would like to apply to start dental hygiene and therapy in 2026.

Because I have already had 2 years of funding - I was wondering whether the whole of my dental hygiene course would be funded by student finance or whether I will have to self fund any of my study. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Darcie,

What is the full name of the course and university and qualification you expect to receive from the Dentistry course? Thanks, Jason

Hi!

The course would be Dental Hygiene and Therapy at Huddersfield university and I would expect to receive a BSC dental hygiene and therapy degree being able to register with the GDC.

Thank you!

Hi Darcie, based on the information you have provided this would be a exemption course and therefore would be exempt from anu previous study calculation. Thanks, Stephen.
