Friend Help Pls

Hi! I'm in a trio friend group at school but we r all friends with other ppl as well and sometimes they join us for lunch n stuff and we have a good time. I'm in Yr 10 rn but to the point... I go to a private skl in Hertfordshire and being a girl from London things r a bit...different. Like in Yr 7-8 I was just ignorant, in Yr 9 I kinda recognised the behaviour and near the end of Yr 10 it's rlly clear now. All my friends grew up in the area and they all have bucket loads of money, like I don't consider myself poor but my parents r working their butt's off to send me here. Anyways they don't outwardly talk abt money but it's things they say like "I've never flown Ryanair" or "I'm going to Switzerland for the weekend and just decided on Thursday" and just small stuff like that but it's kinda getting to me now. Maybe I'm just insecure bc I can't jet off the Switzerland whenever I want but idk makes me feel less than but they don't know they're doing anything wrong. Idk I just wanted to say and maybe get some input bc when they make comments like "I've never go on the tube or a bus" it just makes me feel inferior for travelling on buses and tubes for my whole life?!?! Am I making sense? Like how they buy every book they want to read but I go to the library. They even go with me and are super nice ppl and everything and like 1 a yr get a book from there but otherwise they get fresh books. Just needed a rant

I know exactly what you mean. It's difficult when you're in the minority and they don't exactly know better. As well as the fact that they don't have your same experiences and you, theirs. Like you said, they're super nice so I would just stick it out and carry on being yourself.

Totally understandable how you feel, I get you. For me whenever I feel like ive got it worse than everyone else, I just have to look at the bigger picture. Sometimes you might get sucked in and it feels like everyone is living this high life and you're not but thats nowhere near the truth, its cliche but theres hundreds of millions of people who will have it worse than us and many would love to be in a position like ours, I mean there are people starving rn and people living in warzones and when you look at it like that you see how insignificant our problems are compared to theirs and infact how grateful we should be tbf. Ofc its annoying when people humble brag and it deffo gets to you when it keeps happening and im not tryna nag at u either telling u oh u got it so good u shouldnt feel this way cos its understandable but it just helps me to think about those that are less fortunate than me and infact that I should be grateful to be in the position I am, i mean hey at least you're going to a private school lol.
